FAQs
The Schedule & Commitment
How are the coaching sessions and meetings scheduled? We structure our live sessions to accommodate as many time zones as possible and schedule them according to the students' availability. You’ll receive a master schedule at the start of the program so you can plan ahead.
What happens if a life event comes up? Will I fall behind? Life happens, and this program is built with that in mind. All live sessions, coaching calls, and group discussions are recorded and uploaded to our private hub. You have the flexibility to catch up on your own time, and you will never be penalized for prioritizing your life, family, or day job.
How many hours per week should I expect to dedicate? On average, students spend about 4 to 6 hours per week in the program. This breaks down into:
- Watching core curriculum lectures.
- "Self-work" (hands-on pattern work, sewing, and fitting trials).
- Attending or watching live coaching and community discussions.
Do I have to follow a strict timeline, or can I set my own goals? You are the boss of your own education here. While we provide a structured path to keep you moving forward, you set the pace and depth of the work you want to do. Whether you want to sprint through the material or dive deep and take it slow, we tailor our feedback to your personal goals.
The Fit & Online Learning Experience
I’ve had negative experiences with online fitting classes before. How is this different? We know a lot of online courses leave you feeling stranded, or only teach you how to make something look good for a 2D camera angle. This program is different because we don't just fix individual problems as they pop up; we teach you a repeatable Framework for Fitting. You will learn how to analyze the geography of the body in 3D, understand why fit issues occur, and gain the tools to fix them systematically on any pattern.
How personalized is the fitting feedback in an online setting? Highly personalized. Through high-resolution photo submissions, video check-ins, and direct eyes-on coaching during our live sessions, we look at your specific mockups on your specific body. You get exact, tailored pattern adjustments—not generic advice.
What is the curriculum structure? The program balances theory and practice. It is divided into three core pillars:
- On-Demand Lectures: Deep dives into pattern geometry, support theory, and fitting techniques.
- Live Coaching Calls: Direct feedback on your active projects and troubleshooting.
- Group Discussions: A collaborative space to review peer work, share wins, and problem-solve together.
How much focus is there on fitting underwires (UW)? Underwire fitting is a significant component of our curriculum. We demystify the relationship between breast root shape, wire splay, and cup capacity, giving you a foolproof method to find or alter the exact wire your body (or your client's body) actually needs.
Skill Level & Outcomes
I already know how to construct garments. What will I get out of this program? Construction is only half the battle. If you already know how to sew beautifully, this program is the missing puzzle piece. We shift your focus from how to put a garment together to how to engineer a flawless fit. You will learn to draft patterns directly from measurements to create truly custom garments and to manipulate patterns with absolute confidence, moving past "guessing" and into predictable, precise drafting.
Will I know how to fit others by the end of this program? Yes. Because you are learning a comprehensive fitting framework rather than just memorizing fixes for your own body, those skills are entirely transferable.
What is the value of learning alongside other students? This is often the most surprising highlight for our students. By watching your peers go through the fitting process on a diverse range of body types, shapes, and proportions, your learning curve accelerates exponentially. You get exposed to dozens of fitting scenarios you might not encounter on your own body, giving you a massive library of mental problem-solving tools.
What is the Y2 Design Year, and how does it compare to Y1?
- Year 1 is all about mastery of the fit, understanding the framework, and building your technical foundation.
- Year 2 (Design Year) takes that flawless foundation and unleashes your creativity. You move from technical execution to collection development, advanced pattern manipulation, and finding your unique design voice, all with the safety net of continued mentorship.

Your Guide
Hi, I'm Monica.
My passion is to empower you to learn
to create your own custom-fit bras.
I've been sewing, designing, and fitting bras for thousands of women for over 30 years, and I would love to help you on your journey towards comfort, support, and beauty.
I'm a nerd. I solve equations for fun. I think about geometry and mathematical nets and support structures. And that's what makes me a bra maker. My background as a physics, chemistry, and math teacher, along with a lot of experience fitting real women, allow me to approach the pattern making and design process from a very different perspective.
When I'm not sewing or making patterns and instructional materials, you can find me spending quality time with my two wonderful sons, playing in the waves, and dancing under the stars.
